Bailey Place Insurance is pleased to announce that Vice President Valarie J. VanGorder and Director of Insurance Operations Jessica E. Weaver have earned the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) following their successful completion of a rigorous insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
Dr. William T. Hold, President of the Society of CIC, conferred the designation in an official ceremony conducted recently in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A CIC designation shows an extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and proves a commitment to protecting our clients.
Val has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, nearly all of that time with Bailey Place Insurance. She deals with a wide-range of clients in all lines of insurance exposures, and has become known as one of the region’s foremost experts on flood insurance.
Jessica has been protecting clients for nearly two decades, and as Director of Insurance Operations, she manages a diverse book of business while auditing and maintaining quality control measures throughout the agency. She has been a part of the Bailey Place team for nine years.
“We are proud to have such professional agents at Bailey Place,” said President Steve Franco. “This designation shows a real commitment to making sure our clients have the protection they need.”
Bailey Place is one of the largest independent insurance agencies in Central New York, celebrating 160 years of providing insurance services to Cortland and Tompkins Counties. The agency has offices in Cortland, Dryden, and Ithaca.
